Blessed are those fortunate enough to have an old dog love them.

A candle light Celebration of Life with soft music was held July 18, 2010 in honor of "Snuggles," giving her back to God and celebrating the wonderful gift in life that she was.  "Snuggles" entered Heaven surrounded by her loving Earthly Masters and under the compassionate and caring hands of her personal veterinarian, Dr. Karyn West, after a year long battle with congestive heart failure.  A red shiny balloon on September 10 will be released to Heaven bearing her favorite food of hamburger and rice in rememberance of her birth and lifetime given on Earth.

"Snuggles" lived an adventuresome life, once climbing at the age of 15 Moses cone Mountain in Boone, NC.  Full of peace and an advocate of justice, "Snuggles" loved exploring new parks, riding between her Earthly Masters in the car, snubbing other inquisitive dogs, being picked up and cuddled by her Earthly Masters and holding out for a preferenced food at dinner time until the desired food was placed before her.  This habit was developed after a particularly trying bout of pancreatitis in 2006.

She enforced good behavior and often took her more spirited and often wicked sibling and step-sister "Precious" to task for misbehaving and "sassing" her Masters.  She loved her morning walks to Hugh MacRae Park to check her Pee-mails and had recently made new friends at Dog Trail Corner at MacRae Park.

Her soft brown eyes were always full of curiosity and loyalty and her tail wagged from morning to night.  As a Parti-Poodle, she was beautiful, with black and white soft fur interspersed with touches of apricot which drew many admiring looks and comments from on-lookers which she ignored.

"Snuggles" leaves behind two devoted and loving Earthly Masters, her pink and black flannel lace dress, her Pooh blanket, a new Sheltie friend "Lexie," and many precious memories of 16.5 years of love and devotion with her survivors.  Coastal Pet Cremations was in charge of arrangements, assisted by Dr. West's kindness and consideration.

"Snuggles" has been brought home and will rest beside "Precious" in an oak urn on the bedside table to once again join the family, and her spirit now runs happy and whole through Heaven's green fields, and she sleeps on puffy clouds.
