Meet Our Team

Dr. Karyn West is the founder/owner of The Mobile Vet - House Calls for Pets and has a very diverse background.  She is crazy about dogs and cats and is a total sucker for almost any puppy!

Dr. West received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1993 and spent the majority of her 13 year career practicing emergency nursing.  She also served in the United States Navy from 1991 to 1997.

Dr. West graduated from the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 and has practiced in Wilmington, NC, since that time.  Special veterinary interests include internal medicine, pain management, ophthalmology and neurology.  In her off time, she enjoys spending time with family and is also active in her church.  Dr. West lives in Wilmington with her two dogs, Lily and Oliver, and two cats, Malachi and Ella.

Dr. West avidly supports the adoption of rescue animals and is proud to donate veterinary care to the dogs of Carolina Canines for Veterans, a program of Carolina Canines for Service.
